I am sitting here at my desk, in a drizzly and kinda slimy Zagreb, trying to bring some illusion of order to my photo collection (as if even that is possible) and I came across these lovelies that I seem to owe this blog since November 2015.
The above is our finished wood shed (for all those pizza nights ahead of us!). And only part of our dog menagerie enjoying winter sun. This was taken sometime in December by our neighbour who sent it to us to be jealous of the air and weather. You can smell the air – no?
This is how the shed started…. By Tone, who else?
The fruits of the land where stored for winter.
Some looked too perfect not to take a photo. Even overexposed one.
Porcini mushrooms are always a hit… yummy!
As were these apple roses. They were all over food blogs that week 🙂
Last rays of pink sun were captured….
Last guests left…
Isn’t that such a cool photo? Especially considering this is exactly how I found it in the apartment after one of our last perfect guests of the season left and left it as a parting gift? Looks like watercolour. I love it. I think I will enlarge it and hang it in that exact spot in apartment Desni.
Garden was cleared (and later covered with straw for overwintering).
Last marigolds picked for our neighbour’s cure for all ointment.
Lavander was pruned. Hopefully I didn’t overdo it this time like I did last year and was really worried the whole row of them died. They kinda recovered, let’s see what awaits this year.
Pool was covered yet again and house closed.
Last lunch of the season with dearest friends and family.
And last goodbye by MjuMju to beloved “I-am-free-there-unlike-in-this-tiny-apartment-in-a-stupid-city” Lovrinići.
New season is getting sharply into focus, May will be here in no time!
